Most champion themes focus on the intensity and magnitude of the battle, but this one instead focuses on the joy and excitement. It makes for the most fun battle theme in the entire series. The instrumentation is distinctly Unova with the drums and guitar, but the bells and other twinkling instuments add a rainbow-road flavor that really just emphasizes the fun factor.

I remember I was on a trip with my sis and parents in Kuala Lumpur. We stayed in a hotel that had a view straight on the Petronas Tower. I defeated Iris on a night there, which also happened to be Independence Day in Malaysia. It wasn't the first time I was battling her, in fact I spent hours upon hours throughout an entire year trying to defeat her but couldn't, and on that night I finally did it. After the battle, we went to the window and saw the Petronas Towers blaze with fireworks to celebrate Independence Day. For me, those fireworks celebrated my victory. Thank you Malaysia... thank you Iris... thank you Gamefreak... thank you my intrepid team: a Serperior, Scolipede, Magnezone, Swanna, Cofagrigus and Boldore... and thank you Pokemon, for the best generation in the entire franchise, the one closest to my heart...

I luved this, Times of a little girl playing Pkmn and when she finds out that her favorite character is the strongest person in the region she can't help herself but smile and laugh as she's fighting her feeling so proud and happy. I love Iris so much.

I absolutely love Champion Iris. Sure, she’s no Cynthia but I remember rushing up to victory road when bw2 were out and facing her with my Volcarona. I haven’t felt any excitement in a champion battle since fighting her. Truly the best dragon master

Iris' theme has been my favourite track in Pokemon ever since B&W2. It perfectly catches the duality of Pokemon battles: Fun, light-hearted, friendly play, but also intense, fast-paced action.

This song is basically saying "we know all the stress you've had beating 16 gyms, defeating the elite four 2 times, facing your rival countless times, bringing down Team plasma and Ghetsis twice, and even almost dying to Kyurem's glaciate. So let's just have an awesome fun battle!"
