Venustas Heated Jacket Review

In this episode, I review the Venustas heated jacket. With all the winter camping that I do, will a heated jacket actually work? Is it worth the money to upgrade to a heated jacket? We put it to the test on a chilly morning in the mountains.

I bought this jacket. I’m older retired. I’m not out in the cold very often. I enjoy going to the parades downtown and maybe sitting outside to pass out candy for trick or treat, this sort of things I use jacket for. It worked great for the first 3 times. The last time I wanted to use, the power button fell inside the battery. Broke I called company. They offered to sell me another battery with a small discount. Not happy. I went to Walmart and brought another battery pack. I do not recommend this coat. The battery is made cheap and sold expensive.

Any thoughts on sizing? I see their size chart is IMO a bit off. All my clothing is size L and my chest is 40 inches. The Venustas chart says I should take a size S if my chest is up to 44 inches. That's crazy. What size do you have and does it fit the chart?

Looks like battery will last only an hour on high. Correct?

I recently purchased a Venustas vest on Amazon. This garment works very well, however you have to use their branded battery because of it's connection port. Spare battery costs about $70.00 US. Ouch.

Does a battery come with it or do you have to buy the additional $70 battery?

How long did the battery last at your preferred heat setting?
