Guild Wars 2 Jumping Puzzle Shortcut - Chalice of Tears (Skip up the Volcano)

How to skip a very large portion of the Chalice of Tears (Skip up the Volcano) in Guild Wars 2.

You need a skyscale, griffon or teleport to friend to reach the top of the volcano first. From there on out you can drop down onto the checkpoints using the Prototype Position Rewinder and complete the last part as usual. Make sure you always backtrack towards the center of the volcano after every checkpoint to avoid loading screens (these will clear your checkpoint progress)

I was having a bad day, did'n have the rewind thing, so i was like an hour suffering on this shit. Suddenly appear some guy from nowhere and started to guide me, carrying me with mesmers portal. Dude it was crazy, he was super agile on jumping, i fell a lot and he even rescued me. Ty Aske Lis, i couldn asnwer properly because my t isn working.

You really have to pay attention to the video description tho. That backtracking from the checkpoints to the middle of the volcano each time is important. As soon as you are too far away from the initial rewind position you get a loading screen and all checkpoints are cleared. Took me an entire run to figure out what went wrong.
You can see a buff once you have unlocked one of the checkpoints, the first checkpoint in this video called "Start" and the next starting with number 1. So for opening the chest and getting reward, you need to have 4 checkpoints checked - even in the video you see 5 of them. So. Yea... it's chalice of tears. You didn't really expect this to make actual sense, right?

Nice, I just did the mount flight to the top, but wasnt able to get to the mound that your glider landed on, but was able to get close and use the experimental teleportation gun to get to where you landed, in case anyone has the same issue. (TP gun is sold by danka in timberline falls, the asura waypoint)

Thanks for the video. I didn't read all the explanations about the distance forcing loading screen and never understood why you got back at the center. I've lost so much time trying to get here only to realize I didn't have the checkpoints buff at the very end. Will try again soon

oh. my. god. I'm so glad I found this video, the skip is amazing, you don't have to deal with almost any of the bs in this, super easy to do for the return to achievement, you're a blessing, thank you <3 I had to do it twice from the last checkpoint because I messed up after the last glide and forgot to record my location with the PPR so I jumped into lava to respawn, and not even the ooze at the end was such a big problem, it's good to have a ranged weapon for it though. I found the first checkpoint the most challenging because of the lava elementals, but if you bring some swiftness, stealth and a good healing skill, it's not an issue. Thanks again for this! <3

I did this a few times before i realized what was happening and why the checkpoints weren't triggering for me. If you are too far from the rewind point, you go through a loading screen when you return to your point. If you do, you'll erase your checkpoint and have to start over. A hint here if you're getting the checkpoint credits are when you get that littlei blue glow when you reach one. If you don't see them when you touch a checkpoint, you have either gone out of order or lost your last checkpoint.
