I finally got around to writing a song that started with a dream I had about 18 years or so ago. I dreamed Jesus gave me wings, but I couldn't fly. I literally looked like a bat out of control flying into walls. I could hear Jesus laughing every time I smacked into a wall and was so frustrated that I couldn't get off the ground. I told Him I would do ANYTHING for Him, even die. With that He took my hand and placed a nail in my palm, I closed my eyes with fear knowing it would hurt, then He placed His hand over the nail and said , " There is no need , I have already done that for YOU ." I never saw His face, and just like other dreams I have had about Jesus, I felt more love than I have ever known in this world. I say I wrote it, but in all truth, God made me learn many lessons then gave me the words & tune . All I done was hold the pen, and my guitar. Just finished it this evening and wanted to record it before I forget it . Excuse the performance, I'm still trying to learn it.
