Speaker Introduction: Mark Hansen has been involved in education for nearly two decades as a classroom teacher, master teacher of mathematics and deputy principal. He is also the father of 4 children. He has a passion for learning and igniting that passion in others, particularly in mathematics, where his work has been featured in educational journals. He is also the author of two internationally published children's books promoting mathematics- "Math for All" (2021) and "My Garden is a Square (2022). His goal is for schools and societies to have confident students and creative communicators in mathematics who see its purpose and enjoy engaging with it. He is based in Australia.
