In this episode I will walk you through how to use Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) as a technical indicator for Day Trading. I personally use the VWAP in my day trading strategies on a daily basis. The volume weighted average price represents the average price of a stock during the day including the number of shares traded at various prices.

Therefore, VWAP is the average price of the stock including volume. It's the equilibrium point. This is an indicator that was very popular among institutional traders and money managers, but it now being used among retail traders as well.

I'm just getting started with paper trading. Today I was following a stock that stayed well above VWAP for the entire day until about 3pm, when it dropped about 30%. At first I thought there was no way to foresee this, but I'm thinking that the fact that it was above the VWAP was a signal that it was something that could happen at any time. That was just one 2 minute candlestick, and it still stayed above VWAP, but wow. Kind of scary. Glad I don't but my whole investment into each trade, even though they are only paper trades right now. What a lesson.

Thanks for the idea to trade one share at a time. It has taken the anxiety out of it. I can be very comfortable with the risk of onIy one share. I tried paper trading but don't really care for it l, it's to limited. I like one share cash and look for 10 cents profit on it. Ive been trading about a month now the last week I do one share, i'm about 50% win rate on 1share, I lost on nearly every trade before, when I get to 60% I will start to increase share size. Thank you for teaching what u know.

Great video! I've known about VWAP and average price with volume, but didn't really understand the significance. You really clarified it with an analogy of support and resistance and how the stock interacts with it. Afterwards, I had to go study some charts with VWAP and learn something new. Thanks.
