Thank you so much. As a nursing student without a uterus or children the whole maternity unit for nursing school is very overwhelming and it very awesome to have things broken down so clearly!

I had hyperemesis when I was pregnant with my twins and I tried everything. I found a blog where she discovered ramen noodles were the only thing she could keep down and that did work for me! Bouillon water really helped (cup of hot water with a cube of chicken bouillon dissolved in it). It was the only thing I could drink and not throw up immediately. Sometimes it would settle my stomach enough to eat actual food and keep it down.

I just have to say I love your lecture on hyperemesis and how severe it is. As someone that has suffered with both of my pregnancies I wish all providers took it as serious as it is.

This is so helpful for me as I'm now going through hyperemesis gravidarum. And it sucks!!! Thankfully my OB ordered homecare and I get around the clock IVs

You know you have HG when you’re excited about gaining weight after losing so much of it.

It’s important to acknowledge variations in assessment based on skin color! i.e. assessing signs of anemia in a person of color.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and suffering from HG. I've been vommiting every day all day, I'm currently 45 kg.. The only thing I got from my doctor is well ot was nice for you when you were making the baby and said that is normal but I don't feel normal I honestly feel like I am dying.. And the comments like why don't you eat, you are anorexic, feed that baby, are killing me!

I had this with both of my pregnancies. My doctors did NOTHING! I was wasting away. I became so sick and weak. I just had to endure it, no one cared. No one listened.

Unison and b6 didn’t help. My third pregnancy I got the zofran pump. If I was allergic I don’t think I would have made it. 60 times a day?! I was about 20 times a day. Constant infections it was aweful.

I didn’t have HG but I had ketouria with no glucosuria and no one was concerned about it.

If my wife wasn’t throwing up before watching this. She most definitely wouldn’t be after the part where you talk about the cottage cheese discharge 😂😂
