One of the worst players ever to complain about not getting closer minutes. Bro didn’t play because he was a huge liability on defense and offense.

as a kings fan and season ticket holder during all of his years on the team, every point and rebound he got meant absolutely nothing to the detriment that was having him on the floor.

The reason he didn't play in the 4th is he was a 50 to 60 percent FT shooter. I remember watching him live and seeing him brick free throws. Also you are a 7 footer who never averaged 9 rebounds when playing 27 minutes a game and barely averaged 1 block a game twice in your career. Don't blame a team for your own weaknesses as a player.

Shows you how fast these guys careers are except for a select few. I had forgotten all about this guy

This shows how absent minded WCS was. In his contract year he decides to lock in… and the locked in version was 13/8. There’s a reason why he started on a terrible kings team and was a bench warmer on an actual team after

Should've been playing hard from the start. They did you like you did them.

When you actually look into it, what Willie said doesn’t add up. He averaged about the same minutes per game that he averaged the season before. His minutes only reduced towards of the season when Sacramento realized they weren’t going to make the playoffs, so they prioritized developing their rookie Marvin Bagley and played Bagley in the 4th quarter over him.

And if they were trying to tank his value, why didn’t they re-sign him? He was a restricted free agent, so Sac could’ve matched any deal he was offered by another team. And he only ended up signing a 2-year $4 million deal with the warriors, which was barely above the minimum. Yet Sacramento still didn’t choose re-sign him despite his market value being so low.

So I guess Sacramento purposely tanked his value so that the Warriors could sign him for cheaper? That makes no sense.

Saying he was playing the best ball of his life with the statline he was putting up tells you he was a bust.

Willie got dominated by Steven Adams one game. 1 rebound. Postgame says 'Steven Adams gets paid to rebound. He drowned himself too

This is the problem with players having a platform. They try to manipulate the narrative on themselves and others on what really happened. This is some revisionist history BS. And of course down the line ppl will only have this clip as basis and will determine this is the truth when in fact it was the complete opposite.

I'm all for players getting paid, but don't give minimal effort until your contract year and suddenly play your best just to secure a new deal. It's unfair to waste the team's and fans' time for years, then turn it on when payday is near. If he gave his best consistently or even most of the time, I'd understand — but that wasn't the case
