AFX The Giant Raceway - with 62.5' of track

This track is a lot of fun!!!

Used to have a track I needed to downsize due to moving . 18’x 8’ six lane track. 2 over and under Banks 2 - 12 volt car batteries 24volt . AFX can handle it no problem even with speed gearing . Longest straight 15 1/2 ‘ shortest 9’ . Used aftermarket 18”, 15”, 12” turns on the flat track turns . Cars would do about 25 mph real putting it about 2, 000 mph scale . 4 second laps up and down the 6 chutes and over 1bridge . Lanes were average ( middle lane 104.6 feet ) . Used
179 - 15” straight tracks the banks come only in 9” and 12” but put another 12” as tight as possible with a filler piece in the crescents between the banks to make it appear solid across .
My buddy I gave it to increased the length to 28’ adding 10 ‘ to it and making it 28’ . It’s such a fast track it’s ridiculous.

just have to say, if you run out of supports, DUPLO blocks are really good, actually really good as you can build multi level supports for one footing, built a track a month ago that took 15 seconds a lap if you were good enough

I tried a cross-over section in my layout (Tyco), but the cars always crashed whenever they got to it. I finally said the hell with it.
