Oh my God, the Home movie has left a huge mark in my life. I remember watching it for the first time and crying, because of a scene and because of the ending, and, we can't forget, but also because of this song. I watched this movie probably more than 10 times or even more with my dad, while my mom would go to college at night (she still hadn't graduated).
I still love this song and movie 'til this day.

I know this sounds crazy, but I remember sitting in this movie with my daughter, and when this song started, something shook me down to my soul and made me super emotional... I was in a dead end relationship that should have ended years ago, and I must have subconsciously felt like the lyrics to this song were moving me to put old, toxic things behind me, and move towards better things... This immediately became one of my favorite songs, and I hold it very close to my heart. It's very inspirational to me
