I missed this video when it came out, I only saw the one on the main channel. It’s really great to get a full tour and fascinating to see what was donated. It’s heavy on the sci-fi and fantasy—not that it’s a bad thing, especially for kids who should learn to think big and creatively, and I would have been very happy with this library as a kid. But it points to a certain type of reader among the subscribers of the channel, probably not too many English majors among them. It makes me feel better about including at least one classic, Moby Dick, among my contributions for this year’s project.
It’s also the Where’s Waldo of videos. I managed to find most but not all of my books on the first watch and will give it another go later. But it’s actually more fun to see books and think: “Good, someone else thought of sending that one.”

ETA: On another watch I actually detected a copy of Moby Dick on the shelves here. Selecting books for these projects is hard—the ones you consider must-haves are probably also the ones someone else will send. So, without coordination you’ll get duplicates where more variety would have been possible; or an important book could end up missing because everyone thought someone else would take care of it.

I only saw that we donated, at the 4:54 mark. I'm sure the others are boxed up somewhere. The important part is that the overall quality of the books there is phenomenal. I recognized so many of the titles as some of the best books on the market in the last few decades.

Happy to see that at least a couple of John Green books ended up in that library, I spotted 1 copy of Paper Towns and 1 of The Fault In Our Stars, so that's fun, figure since it's a library provided by the internet there should be at least some of the books written by a youtube famous author in there, not that I provided them or anything (I couldn't afford to send books) but I'm glad they're all there

Awesome video! Fabulous project! Countless hours put into building this library, getting the donated books, sorting, shipping, unloading, and the list just goes on and on. Great job Zack and to your Uncle. I wanna purchase some of those kid books!!! Oh; and the water well so it would even have indoor plumbing. Amazing project!!!
