Three front runners emerge in contest for UK Prime Minister position

Three front runners have emerged in the contest for the position of the United Kingdom's Prime Minister after outgoing Prime Minister Liz Truss announced her resignation.

The three front runners are former British prime minister Boris Johnson, Leader of the House of Commons Penny Mordaunt and former finance minister Rishi Sunak.

Currently only Ms Mordaunt has declared her intention to run for the position.

That Boris Johnson was forced from the leadership earlier this year, in the first place, should mean he no longer qualifies for any future leadership roles, otherwise he would not have needed to resign to begin with. What will make him better or different the second time?
