Old negev took skill. First shot was 100% accurate and was almost always a 1 shot headshot. Basically had a 100 round ak

the old negev was basically the fuck you gun if you had too much money, it had actually pretty good stats and the first couple of bullets were relatively easy to predict so you could almost use it like a rifle. It was strangely viable on ct side as one of the only guns they could buy that could one shot headshot at a decent distance.

It had amazing first shot accuracy and has a very fast recoil reset rate so most people would just tap fire with it across the map.

My fav strat was to buy a negev, a decoy, throw it in the direction of the enemy spawn, immediately buy another decoy, throw it as well. Then shoot some as well.
Then I enjoyed enemies going deaf.
On the other hand saving that decoy to hide the footsteps for unexpected yolo charge was good as well.
I may lose the round, but I surely win morale-wise.

I love how when valve does balancing it's always in the extreme. Turned it from a firehouse into a laser beam; never a balance point in between.

The "I am too rich and you're too bad at the game that I'm purposefully throwing" gun. I guess the M249 replaced the Negev (even though it never really changed) but yeah it's weird that Valve took notice of the Negev and not the other machine gun that they have had since the original game.

you can kill more accurately while running and shooting but you cant while crouching or standing still
