i got a couple of tips that have been useful to me
1. zone focus to avoid lingering
2. use lens with distance scales to zone focus. i always having it at f8.
3. depending on the neighborhood, i would go super early because most dogs and people will be asleep, and streets will be empty. i usually stop taking pictures around 8 am to avoid conflict. Also, its very less likely someone sus would try to do some crime, mfers would be too tired to do anything that early in the morning.
4. turn off any sound the camera could make. if film, use a rangefinder.

This vid came at the perfect time for me! There’s a house that I pass by very often and I find it so pretty, but I always chicken out on taking pics cause I get nervous that someone will find it weird. Thanks so much for the tips! Also I love your photos and editing style!! Always so good :)

I’ve always wanted to do photos of suburban houses. I get very shy and nervous at the thought of doing it though.

Love the video! I’m in a class that’s about photography, audio, and video experience for precollege and one time we had a 3 big projects downtown where we had to shoot small businesses, nature, and houses. Your videos on TikTok gave me a lot of inspiration, guidance, and ideas for it so I just wanted to say thank you!

I really needed to have watched this video a few weeks ago because I didn't follow tip number 2 or 3 or 5 LOL

I was taking some photos with my friends around dusk in a cool area of town. When we got back to my car (parked on one of the side streets) there was a house that had really nice Christmas lights in the window and so I decided to take a 4-minute long exposure and then not move the camera while it processed (ahhh Fuji ilu) had a not-so-great encounter with the homeowner T___T
