Currently doing this to my spouses 2016 nissan versa. lifted truck rear ended her, and smashed the trunk all the way into the backseat. Frame is still solid and insurance was like "we're gonna total it" i was Give me whatever you'll give me to 'fix it' they gave me 2k and I decided Imma make it a redneck special. I tore the entire body from the frontseats back off it. Slapped a hardwood flatbed on the back of it, and then welded up a butchered rear window cab of a old truck to separate the cab and bed, grinded it all down and painted it. Now all im waiting on is a lug conversion kit and some custom sized duelly rims, and im gonna have hopefully the smallest Duelly pickup truck in NA XD

I did that same thing to an old Pinto wagon, and two Chevy Citations years ago. It's actually fairly easy to do if you have any body shop skills. Front wheel drives work better because when you do it to a rear wheel drive like a Pinto, you have little weight in the rear and it's easy to burn the tires taking off. Completely worthless in snow too! It looks better if you use a two door instead of a four door too.

Awesome small truck!, you should see the Australian small truck retail, 'utes' so many sporty (car trucks), the ford Falcon pickups, canopys, and the utilities are so cool, you would see them y'all :),
