Poem: "The Cross"

The night of decision at Gethsemane,
“LORD if possible let the cup pass from me”
The pain, the agony, the tears of blood,
Yet they couldn’t stop the love like flood.

Now as the son submits to the will of His father,
The spirit wills, but the flesh grows weak,
Slumber befalls on disciples because, why bother!
But it was only later they understood, the kiss of Betrayal on Jesus’ cheek.

The night gets darker, the burden grows heavier
As the disciples abandon Jesus and flee everywhere.
It’s Jesus now alone knowing what’s to come,
The cross, the burden to endure, regarded as a bum.

The trials intensify, with all people coming to defend a lie!
“He deserves to die!” Crucify Him!” “Away with Him!”
If only they could realize, He was going in replace of them!

The final decision that Pilot makes,
Sits Jesus in the cell and Barabbas free to roam.
Roman soldiers now all around him,
Getting Jesus ready, as their rage begins to foam.

The scourging, the stripping, the mocking the talking,
All a combination which made it feel like it wasn’t stopping.
Who could undergo such distress, such piercing to even reach the bone
No one, no human, only God alone.

Down the Via Dolorosa He carried His own cross,
Do we understand His pain, the amount of blood at loss.
All for my sin, each drop was for me,
How do I repay Him for His price on Calvary?

I write, I wonder, I realize there was so much more,
As they put Him on the cross, and took Him off the floor.
It’s not only the physical, the mental, the emotional painful ache,
Because remember, it was also the weight of the whole world's sin that He loved us enough to take!

Barely breathing, bystanders teasing,
to some it was pleasing, but others were grieving.

Now Moments more as he hung on the tree,
His thoughts fixed more clearer on His love for you and me.
Who else dies for wretched sinners,
Then gives us grace to become winners?

Jesus, only Jesus, He was the one,
And as He cries out, “It is finished” our dept for our sin is now payed and done.

Its really done, we are free! It’s really gone, go on!
Receive the free gift of life, And reconnection to our Creator
Believe what He did, surrender your life,
Because I promise you, that you will find no one greater,
than our God, our Lord, our King to whom we long to sing and say, ” Worthy are You, our Lord, and our God, to receive glory and honor and power.”

Oh how deep is your love, can I search? Oh how deep is your knowledge, Will I find? For I'm captivated by your endless bounds and I'm swept away in the currents of wonder and never long to return. For your blood stained banner is the color of love. God truly inspired this. About two years ago I was at work and I prayed and locked myself in the sick bay expecting to hear from God. I aid my head on the pillow and closed my eyes, not asleep just trusting that he would talk to me. Then my ears opened and I heard angels singing just like how we hear the men in this. Just the same way and I was blown away.

I believe this video is anointed, God has given me a task to pray for Israel and mind you my heart is there but my understanding in how to pray is not. God is not going to give something He will not equip me to do. So I have been praying that He give me His heart to understand and do accordingly to His will. So the other day a sister in Christ said that I should listen to your video that it has helped her to worship more. So today on my noon prayer I put this video playing in the background there was a presences of God in my home, prayer time was anointed and in holy fire. After prayer My elder son said, “there is a presence of God when there is a true believer in the home praying he said he heard angels singing when we were praying. I believe God led me to you to have this piece of equipment for this time of prayer. God is so faithful in all things. Continual blessings in for what you do for the kingdom of God. 🙏🏽

Prayer out of our mind is great.
But prayer out of our heart is greater.
For what is devotion if not the laying down of the heart
and what is worship if it's not pouring our love out at his feet?
We say: I belong to him;
but does he also have our heart?
What is love if not the willingness to give ourselves to him and what is surrender if it's not making HIM your king and master?
We offer to him cheap rituals
and forms, not realizing: He wants our heart. He wants all of us.
