Now you know what was going on behind the Iron curtain during the 20th century. And kept out of sight, out of mind. Executions by shooting, murderous famines, strafing battalions without weapons ordered by Zhukov, slave labour gulags in Siberia wherein many died prematurely. Many, most victims were UKrainians since those were most hated by Muscovy. Only in 1989 were people in towns in Ukraine game enough to voice their memories from 1938 about executions of people and their burials in mass graves at the outsides of towns, about deeds of the NKVD, KGB. The victims were mainly innocents. Those NKVD, etc. murderers were, in the latter 20th century living it up wearing medals on their chests, on a pension, and regarded as heroes of the Soviets. We see parallels in the present illegal invasion of Ukraine, in the events in Bucha, and the terroristic targeting of civilian apartments, 15 months of the latter. No wonder that UKrainians are into removing Russia out of Ukraine. Who wants to associate with a pack of monsters and barbarians? Things are more transparent these days and dodgy propaganda about 'socialism' and other lies are not so good any more.
