Good I'm glad he stood in business and didn't allow disrespect

🔥🔥🔥🔥 Hip Hop still owes Hammer an apology. He was ahead of his time and he was doing what EVERYONE is trying to do now. Everybody is working on their BRAND and showing that they are MARKETABLE. The only thing is that Hammer helped FAMILIES and put money back in to the HOOD.

I LOVED THIS! I will never forget when Twitter was still Twitter, Hammer sent me encouragement and then followed me. I was feeling so low at the time, but after that, I felt on top of the world! He is one of my favorite rap artists, and I still play his music to this day with NO shame!

You had to be hard back in that Gangsta rap period. Props to Hammer for keeping it real, AND, keeping it respectable.

I'm glad that Hammer never hated his father. That day his father showed up, may have saved Hammer from going down the wrong path.

Haters want to hate! I love MC Hammer's music, both dance and gospel. I admire him for not selling his soul for a dollar.

I remember going to a MC Hammer concert and was so exciting to me as young kid. My sister and me beg my mom to make us the pants that he wore and she did. We were the first kids in school that had them. Those times were great and great music came out during this era.

It always amazes me how people will judge a book by its cover. "Wasn't lookin' like a gangsta so I guess he ain't no gangsta". Reminds me of my favorite geometry lesson, when the lines of "Fuck around" and "Find out" met at an intersecting point.

He was my FAVORITE rapper, no scandals, no crazy mess! Just generous, righteous, and a stand-up guy! A pure role model! Hammer is the MAN!

Seems that Hammer only approached folks when they disrespected his mother and that says a lot. He let you talk about him, but not his mama…that’s a real G!

The power of a father figure turned this man life around!
