GitHub password no longer works? GitHub Personal Access Tokens!

GitHub deprecated usage of the passwords for all Git operations. Now you could use password ONLY for login at GitHub.
If you see such error message as "github support for password authentication was removed" it means you are still trying to authenticate using GitHub password.

Now for proper interaction with GitHub you need to create personal access token or enable SSH authentication.

Very good tutorial thank you. I have an issue where i cannot paste my token at the password prompt, it allows for insertion of my username but will not let me paste the token.

NIice topic but Big bro, I am Totally new to GIt and Githiub... I have a problem.. I installed git in one of my laptop and forgot the password of Git . Is the password of Git local terminal and Github website same . and Secondly I need to install git again on two other machines, LInuix and Windows 10 With the same email ID, password and same other credentials.
