Todd White Exposed: He Tried to Heal Me and Failed!

I actually had a healing encounter with popular Christian evangelist Todd White... but he failed miserably. Todd White is well known for his healing ministry; but is it real, and is it biblical? Does God or Jesus still heal today? Here’s my story which exposes Todd White, as well as some passages from the Bible that talk about healing more in-depth.

(Update 1/13/22) I'm so grateful to have many people from different perspectives watching this video. I wanted to leave one comment that responds to the most common criticisms I've been receiving.

1. “You say that all healings in the Bible were done instantly and never failed, but Jesus prayed for a blind man’s eyes twice, and the apostles once failed to cast out demons.”

I actually didn’t say this, as I am familiar with both of these situations in the Bible. What I said in the video is that all healings done after Jesus’ resurrection in the book of Acts and onwards were always instant and never failed.

Why is this clarification important?

Because it is only after the resurrection of Jesus that his disciples received the Holy Spirit (see John 20:19-22). Before this point, the disciples did not have the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, which means they didn't then possess the spiritual gift of healing at that time (1 Corinthians 12:30). So when they failed to cast out demons (Matthew 17:19), they didn’t have the Holy Spirit, so we cannot compare this to modern-day Christians who do have the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13). The Apostles never failed to cast out demons when they had the Holy Spirit.

Regarding Jesus’ healing of the blind man where he laid his hands on his eyes twice (Mark 8:23-25), this also is not relevant to modern-day believers who have the Holy Spirit, since Jesus is the Son of God and can heal anyone in any way he desires. It is comparing apples to oranges. For reasons unknown to us, God decided to display his glory in that healing through laying his hands on him twice. To say that the first time he laid his hands on his eyes was a failure and he needed to repeat the healing is certainly not biblical, nor is it supported by this text. But again, to accurately understand the gift of healing, we must compare ourselves not to God in flesh, but to Christians in the Bible who had the Holy Spirit—Christians in the book of Acts and throughout the epistles of the New Testament.

2. “The reason you weren’t healed is because you lacked faith/because you had unbelief.”

I hear where you're coming from. However, if you watched my video, you'll notice that I said that I 100% believe God still heals today, and I've seen him do wonderful miracles of healing. You'll also notice I affirmed our calling as Christians to lay our hands on others to pray for their physical healing, and that I had absolute faith that God could heal instantly if he desired. So by God's grace, a lack of faith is not the issue here.

3. "Todd just failed to heal you. No need to call him a false teacher."

But it was more than that. Like I said in the video, every act of physical healing done by the apostles in the Bible was instantaneous and never failed. Not only did Todd White fail to heal the other man, but he also was completely wrong with his guess about my left ankle hurting, and never even attempted to heal my very obvious finger issue. And again, from the dozens of videos I've seen of him, he doesn't share the gospel after these supposed healings. Don't be deceived, my brothers and sisters; this is not a man of God.

4. “Don't divide the kingdom by making videos pointing fingers at others. This isn't biblical."

As a wonderful article by Desiring God summarizes, Jesus himself took the time to warn about false teachers/prophets (Matthew 7:15). Paul took the time to warn the elders of the church in Ephesia about false teachers (Acts 20:28-29). In fact, Jesus called out specific false teachers: Pharisees and Saducees (Matthew 16:6). 1 Timothy 5:19-20 says that those who persist in sin should be rebuked publicly. In the Scriptures, Paul actually names six false teachers that the church needed to be on guard against: Demas, Phygelus, Hermogenes, Hymenaeus, Alexander, and Philetus (see 1 and 2 Timothy).

God bless, and see you in the next video! 😊🙏🏻

This past Thursday night Todd spoke at my church. I HAD severe hearing loss in my left ear from 8 years in the Marine Corps. He prayed over me for my hearing to be restored and many laid hands on me during this. As he prayed I said to the Lord I receive this healing. As my wife removed her hand from my ear it was like a amplifier hit me. Todd facilitated the prayer but I was only healed because of my faith and excepting the healing. Everyone has a spiritual gift. I think we should look at the log in our own eye before going after people about their splinter. I stand for Todd and his ministry from my own experience

The Heavenly Father has personally used me as a vessel to see multiple individuals healed of various pains, sickness, and diseases almost immediately. Does that mean I've had 100% success rate? Of course not. I've seen people not healed, not touched, but I never blame God for not delivering on his promise. I always assess myself and examine how I faulted in terms of ministering to others according to the Holy Scriptures. I've seen people break down and cry after being healed, people who wanted to be filled with the joy and peace of the Holy Spirit after being touched by God. But be careful to give an outward judgment on another brother and sister in Christ, for every judgment you give you will be judged. Keep it simple, love GOD first, and love others. And walk in the Spirit always.

I jusy recently started listening to some of Todd's sermons from 5 or 6 years ago. In them he openly talks about how, when he first started praying for people in person to be healed, and NO ONE got healed for months of praying for hundreds of people. He also admits that even after years of healing and casting out demons that still not everyone gets healed.

By your logic, if I pray for someone and they are not instantaneously healed then I am a false healer. The reality is I cannot heal anyone, Jesus is the healer. A few weeks ago a group of us were doing evangelism in our city, and we came across a lady who had experienced severe back problems for the last two months and could not bend down without extreme pain. I asked her if we could pray for her, she agreed, and we prayed and I quoted Isaiah 53 v 5, then I asked her how her back was, she said it felt the same. So I said we will pray again, this time she bent a bit further and said it feels a little better, so we prayed again and this time she bent down much further and said it feels a lot better, we prayed again and this time she touched the floor and said it feels much better and was very happy. We saw the same woman last Saturday, and I asked her how her back is now, she replied, 'It is good, and said she has no problems since she was prayed for. We were rejoicing that Jesus has healed her, but according to your logic because we prayed more than once, what we did was not correct. I think we need to be careful how we judge others who step out in faith and trust God's word to lay hands on the sick and trust God for healing. He is the healer not us.

Todd does not go around healing people. It’s God who heals. Now Todd! It’s essential to understand this. And if healing didn’t happen it’s not somebody’s fault.

There was an incident with a blind man and the 1st time Jesus prayed he asked what do you see he replied I see people but they look like trees walking then Jesus laid his hands on him again and he received his sight! JESUS PRAYED Twice. The 10 lepers got healed as they went, that wasn't instant either! And remember if EVERYONE got healed we wouldn't need FAITH and without faith its impossible to please God . In some instances it says he could not heal many because of unbelief and lack of FAITH

It took me 3 times of praying for a deaf man (only his right ear was deaf from an early age or birth) to hear again. And he cried deeply because he could hear again. It wasn't that I was just praying, but that the 2nd time God revealed some information to me about this young man, and because it was prophetic I immediately prayed for healing, but he wasn't healed, so the last time I heard God tell me that just because He shared some things didn't mean He was finished speaking with me and He then went on to tell me more things about the man and these were intimate details and then I lead the man into a prayer of forgiveness to those whohe had offense by and bless them... and immediately I felt the love and power of God surge through my hand that was on the mans ear and He was completely restored and could hear again. It felt like fire and lightning type of power, but it also felt like the fathers love surged through me into the man.

So, when we pray and it doesn't work the first time, its ok.. we aren't Jesus and perfect. Even Jesus' disciples tried to pray for certain things and didn't work so Jesus told them only these kind of healings and deliverance come from prayer and fasting.

One of the warnings that the bible teaches us is not to judge a man who is truly following God with His whole heart and who is anointed. You must find a fruit that is incorrect or bad in order to judge a false prophet, such as someone who preaches another kind of Gospel, one that doesn't involved Jesus being our savior, or one that doesn't involve forgiveness, or any kind that is outside of the Bible.

When he started, he tried to heal everyone, and nothing happened until one day it started happening, he tells it himself in videos

I can already sense your spirit young man - the Lord knows it too. Trevor who heals? God heals not a pastor or an evangelist. If God knew your heart was deceptive your not getting healed.

Why do we do this stuff to one another. Breaks my heart . No needs to justify why, it just sucks to see us attack one another and then say we love and want the best for a brother. Smh.

My wife had a hernia in her stomach for 6 years. I come home from revival practice and seen her bowed over in pain.. I laid hands on her stomach and thanked God for a healed hernia. 5 seconds after I sit down she walks over and says “my stomach is on fire” God sewed her right up in my kitchen. I’ve prayed over some and the healing has been instant.. I’ve also prayed and the healing has taken a while. God moves in his way.. and his time. God defiantly still moves the same through His children today.

I'm not sure what videos you have watched but I have seen Todd White preach the gospel countless times before he has healed people and after he has healed them. He is constantly telling them Jesus loves them and he shares his testimony with them and tells them to turn to Jesus and follow Him and that Jesus is calling them and that He died for their sins so they would be forgiven. He does this add nauseum. However he has also shared that there have been times where he hasn't specifically shared everything with some of the people he comes into contact with because sometimes he just plants the seed while others who come in contact with them may water the seed so he doesn't always say all the perfect things every single time he encounters everyone. He also says that he continues to pray for them after he meets them. Your experience with him may not have been perfect but neither is every Christian perfect. Also it's not unheard of for Christians to pray many times before seeing a miraculous change because again, we are not perfect like Jesus is. Even the disciples tried to heal someone in the Bible and couldn't do it and Jesus had to come in and heal them instantly. Todd White is a true healer by God's power. We have no idea why he didn't heal your finger or why he made that particular face when you pointed your finger out. We have no idea what he was thinking or what God was sharing with him at that moment. Either way, Todd White is the real deal and it is very evident to me and many others.

So sorry that you weren’t healed. But just want to disagree about the immediate healing part. Not everybody who gets healed by Jesus or a healer gets healed immediately. Sometimes it’s a process. Member one time Jesus even told someone that within the hour your son will be healed or something like that. The point is that not every healing is immediate

And he's had several ppl on his videos that ppl didn't get healed. And he said the 1st 900 ppl he prayed for didn't get healed, but after that ppl started getting healed, not every1 but several. The healing is up to God. Todd just had the faith to pray for u.

This video is in error, you are misinterpreting scripture and causing disunity in the body of Christ.

Everything about Todd White aside. The Apostles did not have a 100% success rate.

“Erastus stayed in Corinth, but Trophimus I have left in Miletus sick.”
‭‭II Timothy‬ ‭4:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Are you making the claim that it wasn't God healing through the apostles and that it was in their own power?

Unbelief can stop the flow of healing. Jesus couldn’t do many miracles in his hometown due to unbelief and lack of faith.

“And He did not do many works of power there, because of their unbelief (their lack of faith in the divine mission of Jesus).”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:58‬ ‭AMPC‬‬
