These wives knew exactly what was going one and many participated in their way! I have no respect for any of them!

What I found most interesting was that they held on to their belief system throughout their lives - this is astonishing.

I was struck by how unapologetic these women were. Part of me hoped that they would see sense and show remorse. 🥺

I believe we should keep History the way it is, and not try and change it, not change it to look more pretty, the future generations need to know about what has happened in the World.

15 years ago when i first moved to Northeastern Maine for my wife's health i met a elderly lady that lived in the town's section 8 apartments and the whispering rumor about those apartments was that the Government housed "Special" people and Witness protection program participants in the units. One was a lady in her 90's that had a very strong German accent, but if you were to ask her on the rare occasion she could be seen out in public if she was a Deutsch lander she would get a strong look of fear on her face as she would answer that she was from Argentina South America. And she would quickly leave the store. She was later found out to be a former Nazi secretary for someone famous from Germany but no one could ever find out who. Not long after that she disappeared during the night, furniture and everything. They are here, but almost all of them are long dead now or in their extreme 90's or early 100's

At 2:33 you're talking about the relief organization for condemned nazis called "Stille Hilfe für Kriegsgefangene und Internierte" (Silent aid for prisoners of war and internees), but the video shows the cover of a book by Swiss author Susanne Businger titled "Stille Hilfe und tatkräftige Mitarbeit" (Silent help and active cooperation) about something completely different. The book is about the women in Switzerland who during and after WWII secretly tried to help Jewish immigrants and refugees. Some women even helped refugees across the borders into Switzerland and thereby made themselves liable to prosecution. The book provides an insight into the diverse refugee aid provided by Swiss women and addresses the ambivalence of helping within the framework of official regulations.

I could only imagine how awkward it must have been for Rudolf Hess and the other Nazi officials sitting next to each other during Nuremberg.

Great video. It would be interesting to hear also about the children of those nazis.
Thanks for sharing!

Although the information is very interesting, it's amazing how cruel members of the human race can be.

I just realised Himmler was 44 in 1945.
Geez, he looked old for his age.
For a long time I thought he was over 50 when he passed on.

The infamous Martin Bormann had a secretary (and possibly mistress) named Else Kruger. She was interrogated after the war by a British officer called Leslie James. She married him and lived in Wallasey, Cheshire until his death. She then retired to Germany and died there.

No respect for them? How about disgust and hatred for participating in a GENOCIDE?

It's astonishing how light their sentences were after their roles in the Holocaust.

We had a lady living in our street in Nederland who was shunned as she was married to a German. I remember her smiling at me as I delivered the paper.

The wives knew exactly what was going on and were as guilty as the husband. It also goes to show that 'Denazification' did not work
