I bought my first GoPro, the hero 10 literally like four hours ago. It hasn’t even finished its initial charge. I’ve had digital cameras for over 20 years but its mind blowing what the GoPro is capable of so I’m catching up on these videos to learn more. You have some great tips I wouldn’t have ever thought of.

Awesome! As a dinosaur wanting to get into travel and capture my dog or vlogging, it's great to have these vids to help me out. And yes I just brought my Go Pro 11. I hope you guys run a course of something for people like me, to share some of that knowledge. Any direction I can get would be awesome. :)

An accessory I use often when diving or snorkelling is the wrist/hand mount! Great to be hands free with also the option to spin the GoPro around 360degrees for different shots!

Btw since you and Anna are living in uk now id 100% recommend jumping into a camper van and do Ireland wild Atlantic way! You’ll honestly not be disappointed with what it offers and so convenient now that yous are in the UK! I live bang on it!

Dunno if someone else already caught it, but you had the Røde parts backwards. The transmitters are the mics, they transmit the sound they pickup to the receiver, which gets attached to your camera, computer, or sound system. I have one of these (as well as the DJI system) and love it. I prefer the DJI system because it has a charging case which is very handy. I mainly used mine connected to a sound system, but I also see the value in using them with a camera.

I agree with you on the interest of the waterproof case but not only for the depth when diving. I had an unfortunate experience with my GoPro 10 which took water but I did not dive to 10 meters. Water pressure also exists when you dive from a boat for example or in big waves. There, the pressure can exceed the limit of the housing. You have to be careful with this too. The waterproof case will protect your camera for sure.

The Gopro power button's cover goes weak through time and mine broke and water seeped in through it. So I would still recommend the Dive case for Snorkeling just to be safe with the device. Thanks for these tips!

Hey, I love the shotgun mic idea! What microphone do you use to typically record yourself talking during these videos while indoors? Have you found that the audio quality on the media mod is actually reliable and usable for outdoor shots? I've heard mixed things about the media mod, but a lot of reviews are saying that it isn't very good, and that I should just buy a separate microphone for recording indoor videos like this one.
