Cat's don't need meat to live. I had a cat I raised on a strict vegetarian diet, and it lived to the ripe old age of 3. It lived a good life even though it became blind and lost half of it's hair when it was only 10 months.

It's literally like watching a miniature pride of lions feeding on a carcass lmao. So far removed from their wild ancestors through thousands of years of breeding, and they still maintain such strong primal instinct and behavior. Felines are awesome.

I was feeding my infertile and diabetic cat kibbles for 4 years. when I introduce her chicken meat, she devours it! After that diet, her glucose level turns to normal, and suddenly 2 years later she conceive 6 kittens in her belly and they are super active and healthy kitten (ofcourse I spayed her after her second litter). when she thinks her kittens ready to wean, she always being back chicken gizzard to her nest and feed her kittens. I never saw that before, but I thought "ah, so this is how mother cats introduce her babies about their food, how to stalk prey, kill, eat, live. I've had raise my cat wrong... that is how live and survive.
