In 🇮🇩Indonesia it is also called Kelapa Ijo (green coconut), Ijo is green, even though the skin color inside is pink..😂 Famous for its properties as an alternative to destroying kidney stones, treating poisoning, good for pregnant women, increasing stamina and warding off free radicals.

This coconut variant has no meat inside. Some people say because it's unripe. Even if you let it on the tree for weeks, still no meat/very thin meat inside. Can't compare to regular coconut. Only pink color bit fade away. The bitter taste comes from higher tannin. Here in Indonesia we call it kelapa wulung/cocos nucifera rubescens.

These are called Ran Thambili in Sri Lanka. Pronounced as "Run-tha-be-ly" B as letter B and Ly as "Lee"
