I own a Kowa Genesis 8x33 and they are excellent optically to Swarovski, Leica and Zeiss. The image in my Kowa Genesis is bright and clear to the edges nice contrasts too. I also own a Swarovski Cl pocket 10x25 which is very nice optically too however the 8x33 Genesis and 10x33 Genesis binoculars are on par with the midsize Leica at half the cost and a bargain for the optics performance. These are very underrated even snubbed by higher end binocular snobs rating them not as good as the alphas until you look through one of these and you will see for yourself how good these really are.
