🐶FIELD TRIPS FOR SHELTER DOGS -🌴 Best Volunteer Job in Hawaii?

This may be the best volunteer opportunity ever . While living in Hilo, on the Big Island of Hawaii we discovered you can take shelter dogs out on a field trip for the whole day and have them join you on your adventures. You are provided with all of the essential items you would need to care for the dog, and even help promote permanent adoption to local residents. We took Miracle out, and she was an absolute treat as she joined us for a fun day at Liliuokalani Gardens in Hilo ! We vlog the whole experience from start to finish. If you are visiting the Big Island even for a few days, this is one activity you MUST do if you love animals. Awwww miracle is so cute 🐶 that's such a great idea, not only for the dogs exposure but if you are interested in adopting that's a great way for the dog to not get returned post adoption. You can see if the dogs temperament fits with your family / life.

This is such a great idea. i like the leash idea to let people know that they can adopt the dog. what happens if a dog that you take out bites you? did you have to sign a waiver first? I hope Miracle gets adopted!

Saw this video and decided to take a dog out during our honeymoon there. Poor dog must have been sick and and immediately threw up/had diarrhea the second he jumped in our rental car. Walked the dog back into the shelter then spent the rest of the day cleaning the seat. I still love the idea of doing this but if you're in a rental i'd suggest maybe laying down some back plastic on your back seat in case this happens. Also I'd pick a smaller dog as a larger one, like the one we picked, is capable of making a lot more "material" when things go wrong.
