This episode, I ferry a 2000 Waco YMF-5 biplane with Cam from Florida to Edmonton, Alberta. With some unexpected delays and exciting fuel stops on the way, I meet some friends I am sure to keep for a lifetime. This YMF-5 has an R755-B2 Jake on the front. Great airplane, and a paint job that really stands out!

You experienced what a mail pilot would experience back in the '30's, and perhaps even more so! Good job!

Cool video, don't know if you are aware but Edmonton was the home of many of Canada's most celebrated open cockpit bush pilots back in the day. Wop May is worth looking up, he was chased by the Red Baron in WW1 the day the Baron was shot down, was involved in the Mad Trapper manhunt, as well as a hero in the Race against Death when he flew in the dead of winter to deliver the diphtheria vaccine during a outbreak to a remote northern community.

When Richard Bach was doing his barnstorming, he stopped here at Milan, MO located in North Missouri. I was a little boy and was completely excited to see his airplane doing rides out of a field on the south side of town. He wrote about it in his book.

Great content! Love that you can fly these at night... Open cockpit is brutal in the cold. Flew ours once on New Year's Day....8F and I only lasted one time around the pattern!
