I personally have seen this guy play since the age of 14 and he is an outstanding musician. I do not get the hate. The guy is playing the play through and if you cannot hear melody in this you obviously have no clue what you are talking about. He can rip any style you could ask of him and he is just a totally awesome dude. Also anyone who rips on the singer doesn't know what they are talking about either. She can belt with the best of them but chooses to rip it up like a badass. Slay on Mike and awesome to see you getting the clear recognition you deserve!

I think it's crazy that watching someone play something automatically makes it audible in the song, never heard the trem picking in the chorus part until watching this.

I see alot of you hating because of the "Randomness". To me thats what always has made progressive metal fun, Being able to break the rules and have complete freedom to hit notes for no reason. I mean after all in technical stuff like this the goal is chaos and what chaos is is having no order. Take a step back and listen to this for the sound not for the theoretical information being projected. Stop hating and appreciate what Mike has created.

I remember seeing them at warped tour 2011. Their old singer wasn't there and they just performed an instrumental set. It was so badass!

Why would someone call his play through BOTH "weird" and "unskilled"? Sure it`s WEIRD and I know "trooo metalheads arghh" are salty as hell because he is core-ish. But damn, have you actually watched it from 1:48 onward? Bet you are jealous. I actually am cause he is freakin awesome!

If you don't like metal you won't enjoy this. I don't go to Taylor swift videos and bitch about how lame her music is. If you can't see the talent, just go back to 21 pilots or whatever it is you like, because it's predictable.
