What Happened to Google+

Google was supposed to dethrone Facebook in the social media sphere when Google+ was released. But from the initial launch to the forced Google+ YouTube integration, Google Plus was a failure. But what happened to Google+ and why was it such a failure?

I remember that day I went to youtube and was forced to sign up. I was pissed.

Pre-existing YT users were never forced to migrate to G+. Only new accounts had to sign up through it.

Google+ is older than Facebook, it was formly called Orkut

Some of the kids from the other side of town said ALL of the cool kids used google plus. Long story short those cool kids use instagram now

I remember serving we lost many during the landing many couldn't get off the dirt road, those Google + Loyalist had us entrenched. When the 2nd war to
continue we signed up never again. Never again...

I was 9 or 10, maybe 11 at the time they were really pushing Google+, and for whatever reason I used it a lot. There were multiple attempts to groom me through Google Hangouts because of Google+. And then this one time, an older guy who had a pretty successful ASMR channel at the time added me, very obviously a child, on the platform. Not to group him in with the groomers, but idk, kinda weird. I still get a bad feeling on the rare occasion I see someone mention his channel. Who knows if it was actually him though? All in all, had I not been internet-smart from a young age, something bad could have really happened to me.
