Potentially 'modest' recovery for ASX 200 on Tuesday

CommSec’s Steven Daghlian says it looks like there might be a “modest” recovery for the Australian share market following a poor start to the week on Monday.

“SPI futures have faded a bit from where they were earlier, they’re only pointing to a gain of around 17 points, or a quarter of a per cent," he told Sky News Australia.

"Especially when you consider that for the past three days, the US market has fallen by five per cent and they’re down seven and a half per cent since the start of September, as well, as we wrap up the month of course at the end of this week."
