Amid post-election chaos, new government takes shape in Pakistan

In Pakistan, the process of forming a new government has started. The swearing-in of newly elected members took place despite supporters of jailed former Prime Minister, Imran Khan disrupting proceedings.

It also saw the return of three-time former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the National Assembly. Kamran Yousaf has the details.

Turkey incidentally was quite similar to Pakistan in terms of the sheer ingress and control the military had over the larger body politic.
The Turkish military too saw itself as a guardian of the ideological frontiers of the country it was tasked with protecting the physical frontiers of.
That hold was not broken by Erdogan.
He just gave the call.
That control was denied, that responsibility declared presumptive when the common people of Turkey walked out of their homes and stood unflinching before tanks and canons even as fighter jets roared above.
The sheer display of a collective will was such that the Turkish military just had to bow down.
Not before the leader but the principle.

1) Was the Mandate Stolen?
How could someone steal it? Who stole it? And then convicted in fake cases by the same judge who was persecuted by the same party?

2) Most Popular Leader?
Popular among whom? Does popularity imply the ability to form and run a government? The same argument could be applied to Mike Tyson; being very popular does not equate to being elected and sit in the Presidential seat. Being popular! and being respected! to lead and run a nation, are two vastly different things.

3) The Main Issue?
Two provinces are intentionally being pushed towards complete failure: KPK and Baluchistan. Both provinces face ethnic tensions, terrorism, and financial crises. The manner in which the current government of KPK has been elected and the officials put in place suggest that the province, which has already been struggling for the past 10 years (under two political governments), is once again being set up to fail. This is both shameful and shows incompetence on many levels.

Anyway, in Quran it says "Ayah al-Anfal (The Spoils of War) 8:30. "And ˹remember, O Prophet, ˺ when the disbelievers conspired to capture, kill, or exile you. They planned, but Allah also planned. And Allah is the best of planners". May Allah help us.
