Sacramento County Being Sued Over Death Of Girl Hit On Freeway

Sacramento County is facing a lawsuit over the death of a young girl in foster care. The girl was killed last January. According to police, 12-year-old Kendra Czekaj left the Children's Receiving Home, following a 16-year-old girl who had run across business 80. When Czekaj crossed the freeway, she was hit and killed.

So CPS had to come take their kid from them because they were such horrible parents and they want to sue the county because they never taught their child not to run across a freeway? The parents should be charged in her death for failing to provide basic knowledge

Yup I was at receiving home on watt Ave when I was like 13 and I would run away Wich was called "A wall" and they can't do anything about it so it wasnt necessary running away just leaving. It's crazy how by law they can't do anything at least for the safety of the children. I remember walking out and 3 min later being picked up by a pimp and was taken far away somewhere just to be trafficked.

Why was the poor girl there in the first place? She wasn't incarcerated; because her family couldn't take care of her she ended up in that situation, and a lot of kids wants to bail. Who knows? She might have been trying to get home...
