Half the world is sleeping
Half the world's awake
Half can hear their hearts beat
Half just hear them break

I am but a traveler, in most every way
Ask me what you want to know

What a journey it has been
And the end is not in sight
But the stars are out tonight
And they're bound to guide my way

When they're shining on my life
I can see a better day
I won't let the darkness in
What a journey it has been

I have been to sorrow
I have been to bliss
Where I'll be tomorrow
I can only guess

Through the darkest desert
Through the deepest snow
Forward always forward, I go

What a journey it has been
And the end is not in sight
But the stars are out tonight
And they're bound to guide my way

When they're shining on my life
I can see a better day
I won't let the darkness in
What a journey it has been

Forward, always forward
Onward, always up
Catching every drop of hope
In my empty cup

What a journey it has been
And the end is not in sight
But the stars are out tonight
And they're bound to guide my way

When they're shining on my life
I can see a better day
I won't let the darkness in
What a journey it has been

What a journey it has been

Crying while listening to this song. This past few months I've been depressed. I have to keep fighting for work and for my kids.

I recently lost my wife after 45 years in marriage. This song speaks to me to remind me what a wonderful journey I had.

My mother used to sing this song on her ALS graduation and now she's in fourth year college, hoping that she will be able to graduate and fullfilled her dreams for us her children. I'm so proud of my mother, we love you ma, we your family will always support you. Just keep it up.

no one really knows what lies ahead..but as long as we have faith in ourselves...whatever may come even in the worst to happen there is only one left to be with you...YOURSELF... hope is a friend and faith in God is a strength .🙂❤

this is our high school farewell song. We sang this before the graduation ceremony ended and after the principal gave some goodbye speeches and thank you messages everyone threw their graduation cap in the air. And I remember my mom hugged me a bit teary almost crying. Back in those days, the graduations are celebrated reverently with much respect. Sadly today people use this opportunity to put someone to shame like their teacher or to make content in the hope to going viral. Worst, they protest during graduation ceremony people are loosing respect to such celebrations as this.

I think, this was played during my college graduation.. my college days can be defined as a REAL roller coaster ride. during my first course, there came a time that I completely lost interest in studying. resulting to losing my scholarship and dropping out from school. fast forward a few months after dropping out, I decided to go back to school. new course etc. But i was so willing to finish my degree that time. so 2017 when I graduated college. 2018, I started my post grad studies and finished it 2020.. 🥰 this song became my motivation.. 😊

Whenever I hear this song, it reminds me of life; life a cycle of pain and pleasure; life where you are both actor and spectator but never the director.
