At ReDriven, we’ll be taking you through the pros and cons of a huge range of used cars to see how well they’re going now that they’re a few years old, have thousands of kilometres on the clock, and are coming toward the end of their warranty, or maybe don’t have one at all.

Plus, thanks to our resident mechanic, Jim, you’ll find out what commonly goes wrong with them and what might need to be fixed.

Most importantly, we want to make ReDriven a voice for the most in-the-know used car experts there are...you guys.. See, you’re the ones that actually buy, live with, love and sometimes unfortunately hate the cars we’ll be reviewing.

So we want to hear your thoughts. Hit us up in the comments, or on Instagram and Facebook.

We’d love nothing more than for you to give us as much feedback as possible, so we can make this channel the best it can be.

2 years ago my mum was looking at buying a small SUV. She was looking at the ASX before I recommended her to test drive a CX3. She was blown away by how much nicer and well put together the Mazda felt in comparison. She bought one and has loved it ever since without a single issue.

I have a 2018 model of this car and other than no armrest in the middle, this car is incredible. I ended up buying an after market armrest off Amazon for $30 and now I have no complaints. Great mileage, handles well, decent storage space. Not great for road-trips with more than 2 people, but for taking around 5 people for small trips around town, it’s perfect! The upkeep is pretty easy on this car too. Such a great vehicle, no regrets!

I have the 2019 Cx3 and absolutely love it. It takes less than $40 to fill the tank & lasts well over 2 weeks. It’s so much fun to drive too.

We bought a manual cx3 about 6 months ago. It's so fun and definitely zoom zoom. It handles, the engine and gearbox are fun, the build quality for the money is amazing. We didn't expect much from it, but it has become one of my favourite cars we've owned. Great car! Only thing that bothers me is the boot space... but that's what a cx5 is for!

The way he finds precise height measurements of b list or a list celebrities and compares them gets me every time :) .

I used to own a 2015 cx3 Touring. I absolutely loved it. However, infotainment system was somewhat laggy and very annoying to use. I then went to Toyota and I just didn’t like how the 2019 corolla ZR would drive. Just felt so dead. Now I drive a 2019 Mazda g20 Touring hatchback and I absolutely love it!! I’ve owned a Mazda 6, cx3 and now a Mazda 3 they’re such beautiful cars. I don’t think I will even look at any other car brand.

I had one for 3 years. Awsome little car. Very economical, and very comfortable. My mate bought it from me for his daughter whom has now had it a couple of years. Never let anyone down. Would reccomend to anyone. By the way no its not leather its fake but seems to wear better than real leather.

Perfect timing! I’ve been eyeing a small suv for a while and was planning of visiting Mazda tomorrow to checkout the CX3 in person.

Thanks guys, love the channel. Had one of these for a month while our CX5 diesel was off the road. One thing you didn’t mention is the absolutely woeful low beam headlight performance. In this instance, out of sight on a dark night, means just past the end of the bonnet. You could drive past a fully fledged yowie on a dark country road with the low beams on and never know it. Even my wife, who has no interest in cars commented how poor the low beams were. Fortunately the high beam is vastly superior, which means in real terms means adequate, just! Headlight don’t really matter in the city, but in the country, good headlights are vital. You should include headlight performance, both low and high beam in all your reviews. Keep up the good work gents!

Best car I've ever owned. Handling and fun for days. Almost bought another one when looking for a new car and now regret getting a kamiq 😢

Helped Mum with buy her new car a couple of years back, we ended up going for a CX-3, she really likes it. I've test driven the Stonic and the Kona, neither of them came close to the CX-3.

Man I just dropped off a cx3 an hour ago after renting it for 3 weeks. I already miss it!

I usually think AWD is redundant in a lower powered car in our climate but would pick the AWD in the CX3 because it has a De Dion rear axle, which is very unusual in a modern car and I appreciate engineering oddity

2016 GT here in states, 36k miles. No issues whatsoever. Plus 1 19inch rims and wider racing rain tires. Have tracked this at Road courses and in rain. Unreal stick even in heavy downpours. Soul Red too, awesome color. Best car ever owned in 40y, no lie. Fun too. First Mazda as well.

I was set on buying the CX-3 (used) here in Japan and was checking out some different trim levels and was overall very pleased until I was recommended a Honda HR-V Hybrid (called Vezel in Japan) and it honestly made the CX-3 feel pretty cramped by comparison. Honda was a little more but the extra space and better fuel economy is what really sold me. Also, I'm not a fan of these exposed (un-painted) plastic wheel arches. I know you can get certain trim levels where these are piano black or whatever but they really should come standard imo.

I own one for almost a year and a half at this point, it's 2.0 150HP Petrol AWD 6AT top of the spec from 2019, and I can say I'm really happy with my choice (my first car actually). I think the only big issues, as you pointed out, are the cabin noise and annoying sounds over bumps but other than that it's a solid car, fun to drive which turned some heads in my case. Maybe the boot size is kind of small but that depends on how many persons you want to take on a long trip.
I would like to add to the number of service recalls, one that I didn't see mention, is the fuel pump that can fail, and Mazda dealerships will change it free of charge. Had this particular issue with the car, dealership solved it, and from what I understood owners can do it preventevely before it actually fails (if it fails).

We have 2019 CX-3 Sport and put 70, 000 miles on it since we bought it new. Still runs like new. Only issues we had was a bad front wheel bearing which was fixed under warranty and now the backup camera will be replaced due to a NHTSA/Mazda recall. Otherwise no issues at all!

I bought a new one barely 7 months ago, now up to almost 7000 km. With the 16" wheels, the ride is surprisingly compliant. The engine develops maximum torque at only 2800 rpm, which is perfect for fuss-free cruising on the highway at 110 kph. It's no supercar, but performance in the real world is more than adequate and it's fun to drive. Overall fuel economy so far, with mostly urban driving, is 7.8 L/100km. On the open road, it can go down to high 5 L/100 km. Don't be fooled by any "SUV" tag - the CX-3 is really a little hatch.

I had my compressor replaced under warranty. Leather wheel also replaced. Averaged between 5.7-6L/100 over my 4 year ownership manual

Having considered it a few months ago, the biggest problem of the used 2015 CX-3 is that they are the same price as similarly speced 2017 CX-5 which offers more in virtually every way (at least for AWD models I was cross shopping)
