I was sad there wasn't a high quality version of this brilliant song on YouTube, so I bought the vinyl just for this!

Recorded from the official 'Half Moon Live in Concert' 12" Vinyl using an RCA to 1/4 stereo jack cable running from the record player into an SSL 2 Audio Interface (with 4K enabled) which then ran into a Macbook Air and was recorded in Logic Pro. No post processing, just the raw audio.

I do not own the rights to this song and will not profit from this video.

Lyrics:
I'm a miser when I'm rich but a gambler if I'm broke
And if we're gonna laughing, I'd wanna be in on the joke
Sometimes I think you show me scabs just to tempt me to tear them away
But making me draw blood will never make me want to stay

Oh, oh, it's sad but true
Love is never enough and after just a few months we are not immune
Oh, we used to stay up late staring in each other's eyes
Now I'm waking early to call you up and apologise

Like the turtle in the woods just sticking to your path
I'm a monkey in the trees, swinging branch to branch
I love the way you move, you love the way I rock n' roll
But if our worlds collide, it's bound to take its toll

Oh, oh, it's sad but true
Love is never enough and after just a few months we are not immune
Oh, we used to stay up late staring in each other's eyes
Now I'm waking early to call you up and apologise

You're hard of hearing when I'm whispering love songs late at night
I'm used to dinner and drinks but now all we ever do is fight
You're leaving liquor in the laundry 'cause you love watching me playin' hide and seek
You got me running in circles for a half hearted kiss on the cheek

Oh, oh it's sad but true
Love was never enough and after just a few months we're not immune
Oh, we used to stay up late starin' in each other's eyes
Now I'm waking early to call you up and apologise

Oh, oh it's a cold hard fact
We said a lot of things you know now we can't take back
And oh, oh we used to hold each other tight under sparkling trees
And oh, oh now I'm begging for you back on my scraped up knees
And oh, we used to spend all night staring in each other's eyes
Now I'm waking early to call you up and apologise

Fun fact: This song was written and originally performed by Emily Kinney (the actress who played Beth Greene)

I hope Half Moon/Beta will have an episode or saga on "Tales of the Walking Dead". He's officially the only character referenced on all Walking Dead shows.

This is so good. Ryan Hurst has such an awesome voice. Kinda funny really because when he was asked to do this by the showrunners, he said that "It's an actors worst nightmare" and he didn't know if he'd be able to sing or not. Not only that, but he was only given 3 days to practice and record this song and the other one he did too. That what makes this even more impressive to me. His singing voice is amazing. I wish he'd do an entire album for Half Moon.

Why did Beta hate who he was so much? That's something I never understood. Alpha must've really brainwashed him. She was a true villain compared to the other antagonists of the series.

I just did a re-watch of the series and realized this is the song magna is listening to in episode 5 of season 10. Pretty neat.

I feel like this is the kind of music that Daryl used to listen, and Motorhead with Merle.

I always wondered if they would ever cross paths with any former “celebrities”.

This song stuck with me after doing a re-watch. Just found the Emmy Kinney original version.
Such a cool, double Easter egg in the show and both versions of the song are so beautiful in their own ways. A new favorite!
