Bruce Willis retires from acting following aphasia diagnosis

Dr. Richard Isaacson, director of Florida Atlantic University's Alzheimer's Prevention Clinic, explains that aphasia is a disease that can result in the loss of ability to understand certain words.

Aphasia can also happen with certain types of migraines. It is the most terrifying feeling. Mine lasted for 45 minutes during which I could not form a sentence, or pull up appropriate words, so couldn't tell people what was happening. And didn't know if it was going to be permanent or not. I was lucky it happened once and was not permanent and left no side effects. I am so sorry that Bruce Willis and his family have to deal with this, or anyone for that matter.
