The UCL Earth Sciences Department
Показать описание
The Department of Earth Sciences at UCL lies in the heart of London on the Bloomsbury campus.
Our research programme spans the entire Earth system from the atmosphere to the inner core, while emphasizing the importance of linkages with active staff and students. The 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) placed our department in the 3rd place with the average score of 3.05 out of 4. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) assessment our GPA was 3.25% and that placed us in the 6th place in our subject area.
Our teaching, reflecting the diversity of our research, encompasses a wide range of undergraduate and taught graduate programmes together with an active body of graduate research students.
