I had never seen the connection between thorns and thistles in Genesis and the Crown of Thorns. Thanks, Joe, your videos are always a blessing.
As someone living in South Africa I frequently encounter trees and shrubs with the most vicious thorns imaginable, a sight which never fails to make me quail at the thought of Jesus’ crown.
Your comment about musicians was also thought provoking. I have recently discovered Voces 8, a group of exceptional vocalists who have made numerous recordings of church music. Mainly unaccompanied, their renditions hearken back to early church music, and I find it SO uplifting.
What a contrast with the modern racket and rumpus.

I wish he’d return soon. Day after day it hurts my heart to read about, hear & see the evil all around us. Sometimes it’s too much & I just cry.
