How to CHANGE the Subtitle Color of an SRT Subtitle File // Make Yellow Subtitles

In this video, I'll show you how to change the Subtitle Color of an SRT Subtitle to any color you want.

For the purposes of this video, I'll change the subtitle color to yellow for a few subtitle lines and a whole subtitle file using Subtitle Edit.

Thank you very much for this! I had a video with white subtitles that were made useless in much of the movie due to the whiteness of the winter scenes. As it happens, yellow was exactly the color that I needed, so this was perfect. I went with the free Subtitle Edit. Thanks again!

Thank you for pointing me at "Subtitle Edit" and how to use some of its features to add colour to selected portions of the .SRT file.
I had two files: 1) English for the entire film & 2) a Foreign Language only file.
I applied colour to the second file.
Then I used JOIN to join them together.
Then I used SORT BY to sort by STARTING TIME to interleave the 2nd (foreign parts) into the file with the English parts.
Everything worked out very well.

I want to change the colour of the subtitle to yellow because the film in question has some subtitles encoded in English and the general subtitles are in Portuguese, so the yellow colour on top of the white is visible.

I've tried to use VLC 3.0.12 to change the subtitles. It shows I made the changes only on VLC. I've tried Convert/Strem, or just plain save, but everything has failed. When I try to put it on youtube none of the changes show or when I play it on Quicktime.. I don't know what to do. Would you please help. Thank you.

This video is a lifesaver. I've seen some cool stuff on YouTube with people changing the colours and sizes. Somebody even remade Never Gonna Give You Up using the braille symbols and changing colours of different characters according to the original video using a script!
EDIT: ah I should've watched the entire video before commenting lmao. But there still has to be a way to get colours to work in captions considering I've seen it done before.
