She really doesn't have much to be afraid of because the A.I's are just very and I mean very very formulaic. If that was the record company's want and they just put out the bare minimum, people can hear and tell the difference.

A machine can’t and will never be able to replicate authentic human emotion and performances in that way. It just won’t. A.I doesn’t have life experience. You can of course use computers and phones to write songs but if the melody, lyric and vocal isn’t human, it will never sound human.

I just read about how they're developing an AI that sees the brain like an ultrasound does and can literally read one's mind. It's meant for those who can't communicate. I could see how that would be a blessing for disabled people who need it, but so dangerous on the other hand it's terrifying.

It wouldn't be the emotion that would be replicated, but the catalyst. Melodies and rhythms are just patterns on a grid. Most of the entertainment we consume is digital and enhanced, modified, or wouldn't be possible without technology. I also think its safe to say most of the newer generations live their lives on the internet. Combine that with the knowledge of every book, movie and song ever written stored in a perfect memory bank.

You could have said the same thing about the clothing industry. Machines made it possible to produce affordable and accessible clothing options for consumers worldwide. For better or worse, “artistry” didn’t end up mattering to the public (though there are still people who do value it). I imagine when people can create their own rock operas or whatnot (based on their own ideas or tastes), most won’t care too much.
