The time has come: we have found the first traces of life in space! The James Webb Telescope has discovered a planet that is even more suitable for life than Earth! Biomarkers in the atmosphere of the exoplanet K2-18b indicate that this world is covered by a superlative ocean. But how can we now find out whether intelligent life exists there? Can James Webb and others provide clues, and if so, could we ever reach K2-18b?

Yeah, now get us there. We should be there in a million years.

Earth is our home. We are of the earth. If we can’t make it
here, we can’t make it anywhere.

The more we explore, we will definitely find other life forms in the cosmos. Very interesting and exciting.

There might be many intelligent lives in the universe: the problem is vast distances among celestial bodies. Earth is one of the best places for the evolution of life in the universe.

They put this info out with enthusiasm n we love it... Eventually as they study each planet they find its not better than earth, at least thats what i remember? Maybe im wrong?

Based on the description, this may be "Krypton".

Even if we found a completely earth like planet, it would be so far away that we would never get there. 120 light years is a very long way away.. out of our reach. So what's the point? How about we just look after what we have? And leave it at that.

How much will we know in a hundred years? Theres one hell of an encyclopaedia set about different planets waiting for us to study.

Click bait: K2-18b 124 light-years away, And orbits a Red Dwarf. Which almost certainly means K2-18b is tidally locked to it's star. I don't know why We keep searching for planets that orbit Red Dwarves, pretty much every planet that has been found orbiting a Red Dwarf Star is tidally locked, and not suitable for human life. Need to find a Main sequence star like our sun with a planet in the habitable zone that is less than 10 light years away or less. Then I'll get excited. Even though Red Dwarfs live way longer lives, planets in habitable zone also receive way more solar radiation, and tidally locked is not good (extreme temperatures changes from each side of planets)

Well I'm certain intelligent life does not exist here?

It amazes me when I see wild claims of earth-like planets when they are light years away. Mars is practically next door and we have to send probes there to confirm that water existed/might have existed on the planets.

If we did find an earth analog, then it would probably already be full of life. That means we wouldn’t be welcome there. We’d be better off finding a fixer upper planet and terraform it. One that is in the habitable zone, but has some issues that aren’t insurmountable.

Life on another plant might be just more frightening then anthing we know of here on earth! 😬

Terima kasih atas info ini, semoga manusia kelak bisa hidup di planet ini. Lanjutkan, penelitiannya.

Cool to see but I'm just trying to enjoy the rest of my years on a fully liveable planet.
