Really... Every single time I get to hear this song I feel my heart beating like it rarely do ! This is a wonderful work they've done on this track.

I've waited forever to hear this. I only wish they had the entire 12 minutes, but I can see not much happens apparantly from the fade point. Paul's vocals are great, but John's rythym work is what carries the tune. Reminds me of that first Yoko Ono /Plastic Ono rythym work. THANX

there is a holy grail 29 min version of this in studio that can not be found on bootleg as paul took that particular tape home with him the day it was recorded and it has not been seen since.

To celebrate Liverpool's BEATLES WEEK this is the song that supports the theory that The Beatles wrote music that was far advanced of the musical era that they were then in and WERE the greatest pop/rock group that the world will ever see. Written in the 1960's, but not released to the 1990's. From the Anthology Three CD. One of my top 15 Beatles songs. ENJOY !

One of my top ten Beatles songs and this WAS written by them in the 1960's, although this particular version was much, much too advanced for it's time to be released then. WONDERFUL ! ENJOY ! [SUN20JAN13/0029hrsGMT]

It says in the video description that this was cut down from the 12 minute take, and that part of it was released on one of the (official) Anthology collections. Go ahead and compare this to the one on there if you like.

there is a 28 minute version of this song that has never been released.
if there's a song i want played at my funeral, its the unreleased 28 minute version

Definitely hear the blues influence in this version. Early metal was all very blues influenced with heavy psychedelia. After punk broke in the late 70's, heavy metal's blues origins were now too deep under too may layers to be appreciated. Strangely the finished album version of Helter Skelter from the Beatles White Album resembled more the later definition of heavy metal.
