Fire plough with unknown wood

...Back on the fire plough & managed an ember on my second attempt without swearing once.
.
... I don't know what this wood is but I know where it is & I know there's plenty of it. It's the same wood I used for a bow drill set not long back when I was practicing in wet conditions down by the river.

...It took quite a while for the ember to develop & I thought I'd make a back up & transferred the ember to a piece of bracket fungus just to be safe.
.
...Still a way off saying I feel comfortable with this technique but now I've found something else that works I'll be able to get more practice in & hopefully refine my technique.
