I pre-shifted weight to the right like this during a round and shot the best 5 iron I’ve hit in a long time. It was the lie that forced me to do it so I kept trying it on all my swings and it dramatically helped. I came here to YouTube to confirm my findings and sure enough here’s a great explanation of it! Remember he’s exaggerating in the video to show us the movement, it’s about half as much as the shift he’s showing, I starting to really shift over to the right to see if it would help more but it was too far away from the sweet spot! Thank you and nice drill with the ball under the heel!

Moving pressure to my left side before I even Bagan my backswing unlocked everything for me. Shifted pressure to my lead side effortlessly by shifting pressure early. (Not sway) Almost impossible for me to have a bad strike. If you stay stationary good luck

Clay when you did that movement of leaning into your trail leg your head moved to the right and swayed off the ball. I have a lot of trouble trying to time it up to get back over the ball at the correct time.

Looks like you have your weight too much towards heels at address. And leaning your UPPER body to your right at start of backswing only is no good idea either. Move your entire body to the right at first and recenter lower body towards left before end of backswing is better.

the "weight shift" is the biggest MYTH in golf. there is no way to CONSISTANTLY hit a golf ball when your body is swaying all over the place. the correct advice is to keep your head and spine as stationary as possible and swing your shoulders AROUND that stationary spine in a CIRCLE, not in a sideways motion created by shifting your weight. the swing begins with your left hip moving BACK, behind you, also in a circular motion. NOT by sliding it left towards the target as so many people WRONGLY believe.
