Beautiful! I remember when my teacher (she's also from Ukraine) assigned me this etude. I had never heard of Bortkiewicz and it seemed like a lot of superfluous notes at first. But it quickly opened up and became the perfect piece for me at that time. One more benefit of a good teacher: gives you the music you didn't know you need!

This rendition is by far the best one I found. Nothing is muddled and it brings out such clarity and crystalline quality of the piece! Hats off to you Denis!

Давайте больше Сергея Эдуардовича Борткевича! Это мой любимый композитор!
У него есть масса красивейших композиций, но их мало играют :(
Недооценённый композитор

Gorgeous etude, have never listened to it before! Wonderful.
*Edit: I like it so much I have decided to learn it as a mini-project. I will use your course!

wow.
and is that the first time i see you playing Bortkiewicz? sadly forgotten and underrated.. 🤨 he has so many outstanding pieces..!

i really envy that you can sit down learning a Bortkiewicz etude at 10am and play it like this by 3pm (lunchbreak included).. 🙈😅

Doesn't sound like an etude under your fingers but a wonderful piece worth of been shared with any audience!

Your intepretation is beautifull and sparkling, but i honestly prefer the slower tempo... But I have to admit that your technique and note control are astonishing!

1:23 I love this kind of subito color change that leaves a breathless effect. However, I cannot figure out how to coordinate my body and fingers to do this without requiring too much "preparation" time, and by then the effect is totally lost. Kind of niche and advanced, but hope that you could make a video on this one day. I don't think this is something I've ever seen someone talk about in the usual piano tutorials.

Hi again dear Denis. I love this oiece very much and you play so beautifuly💐🌷Yes Borchewitch deserves a special attention💐🍀 I wonder if you give asyncronized online course? That is student send teacher a video then teacher send student feedbeck by an other video than student send a resultent video showing applied teacher"s corrections and suggestions and teacher send the final conclusion video. What do you thing about this type of asyncronised video cours Denis?
