Could someone have the kindness to explain to me what is the goal of Makima in the 1st part of the manga and at the same time why is she the bad guy of the manga.

Makima's list of abilities is vast. But not as nearly as vast as how it could've been considering all the devils and all the possibilities there is

The invisible crushing force technique I think might be more tied to her ability to form contracts. I think she was basically forming a contract: a life for a life.

Makima being able to control Devilman or Hybrides like Bomb, was confusing as hell for me. Angel kind of made sense, since it was never established that it wouldn´t be possible for Devils to do contracts with each other, but the brainwashing ability of her was still pretty irritating. Until i realized the point about feeling like being lesser than her was the key point, that´s why Makima disliked Power, called her problematic early on and wasn´t able to control her as she was saving Denji.

I realy liked how much love for the small things were in this manga and how well the symbolism was used. I realy didn´t expect that in a manga called Chainsawman, full of references of Sharknado of all things.

Makima- a devil who was in love with humanity she tried to emulate the same love other humans felt towards themselves and others, which led to her putting on a mask both literal and metaphysical.

All Makima wanted was to form relationships with those on the surface but the power she amassed along with the government officials corrupted her which made her embrace the nature of being the control devil.

Manipulation was her game and the hearts of men, women and animals that were easily swayed by her power were Makima’s prey.

I think that most of the abilities mentioned are just the idea of "control", ie the advanced hearing is just her controlling rats, transport is the same. It's also possible that the sacrifice and other general combat abilities are just contracts with devils, and some random person she is controlling just dies or suffers from the contracts. Because of this, its reasonably fair to assume that she can make contracts with any devil without suffering any consequence, making her one of the most broken characters in fiction.

Makima is so powerful and feared because she doesn’t need contracts to get what she wants. She is a puppeteer, putting strings on whoever she needs to in order to achieve her goals whether they’re human or devils.

In the translation I read, Makima was introduced as the Domination Devil. It sounds cooler but it made it a bit more difficult to wrap my head around.

Makima, who has always regarded others as being controlled by devil, actually always wanted to get along with others as an equal, which mentioned by pochita, and that’s also why makima was crying when she saw two movie characters hug each other. Until she met denji, the first time denji met makima, he asked maikima to hug him, which was what she always wanted, so makima gave denji a wish, a wish that would allow denji to order her to fulfill any wish, but denji's wish was that he wanted to be Makima's dog, instead of her boyfriend, so makima laughed and cried in front of denji after killed power, she cried because she thought she could be equal to denji, but in the end, denji just wanted to be her dog. I think it was never stated that the other part of the contract consisted of Makima working for the public safety. It's impossible that a government would be as irresponsibly as to give a DEVIL such power without the said devil have completely gained their confidence.
"Do you think the prime minister would make a contract with such an evil devil"
This implies that Makima doesn't even tries to control people in the public safety and that's what made her gain the pm's confidence

I remember in the manga while they are watching a movie together with denji makima suddenly cries after the end of the movie.. I think there is still a liitle bit humanity in her.

My theory as to the finger guns are that it's actually a thing among Osakans, pretty much everyone is implicitly aware that if someone points their finger at you like a gun and go "bang", you play along and act like you got shot, it's like a city-wide thing. I think probably the closest English equivalent would be "The Game". In this way you kind of control someone, even if only for a second. Is this something rooted enough in the collective unconscious that Makima can literally use it as an effective weapon? It could just be a creative choice, but I thought it was interesting.

Somehow I think this was only the tip of the iceberg of what makima can do. She was probably just holding back and having fun aside from fighting the darkness devil. Also the finger bang was probably just a small power she gained after beating the gun devil and probably controlling it as well.

Her crushing ability, decapitation, teleport and invinsible gun are likely contract with other devils. One of her powers is to use powers under her control so unlikely the new her can do something similar. Remember that she could use Angel lifeforce weapon ability since she control Angel (though Angel is dead at that point).
