I met Mark at NAMM a few years ago, and he is such a great guy. They tell you to never meet your heroes, but Mark is totally someone you want to meet if you get a chance. I also met Brett at the same NAMM, and he was awesome too!

I am a bassist who loves Mark style of playing, actually thinking of getting a baritone guitar, learn to play some of these beautiful R&B sounds. I understand his language, what he's trying to say.
You should practice both getting aggressive and then being laid back, for sure. Also, there's a lot of calling and answering yourself involved. That makes sense to some people.
