Think about all the weird stuff reported in National Park Forests. What better place for the military/government to build underground facilities for whatever purposes. Many National Parks have "no go" areas, restrictions. So many missing people/ hikers, campers) also. Interesting to say the least.

Wow! I didn't know El Yunque had any secrets! I lived in Puerto Rico back in the 70s, and I spent time in El Yunque. It's an incredibly beautiful place.
My husband and I saw a UFO when we were laying outside😮 one night looking at the stars. If you took the saucer section of the USS Enterprise from Star Trek Next Generation, that's what it looked like.
There are many caves in Puerto Rico, especially in the area of Arecibo, where Camuy is. Who knows what's in those caves!
FYI, chupacabra were already legendary when we lived there because my husband told me about them. I didn't think they were real back then. I'm not so sure about them now. I've seen too many weird things that are either supernatural or paranormal over the years.

I’m very impressed with Madelyn’s mother:
Who wasn’t scared of the monster,
Ran at and chased the monster and
then tried to catch it? 7:08
That’s some pretty amazing mom-power!

heres a fun fact, the "blanca" character from street fighter was inspired by real events. supposedly back in the 60s i think the main 3 letter agency made an RCO remote controlled organism, that basically was a local corpse that they retrofitted with a robotic skeletal structure, carved religious symbols all over its flesh, put a toxic gas canister in its throat, and had it run rampant through the towns to more or less force people out, or at least cause chaos there for whatever other purpose. there were actual photos of it from people fleeing from it floating around out there. i want to say iran contras, since they didn't have enough $ from government to go full blown war, instead they went the cheap / dark route with the whole drug running ordeal...while simultaneously fighting the war on drugs " " lmfao. insane. sometimes cheaper and more effective than other methods for the same purpose...but yea, don't put anything past "military". not to mention there are declassified plans that were never executed, during the cuban missile crisis " " there were plans to use the navy to project images of the virgin mary in the sky over cuba to distract the people during invasion...what do people fear? what are their beliefs? lets use that against them...

I was born and raised in PR, I was about 12 years old when the Moca vampire attacks, first killed a few sheeps 🐑, chickens but then later killed a big bull, we don't have big predators in PR, just wild dogs and they know better not to mess with a bull, it put the scare on all of us including adults, when the sun was about to go down our mom's will be yelling at us coming inside, they lock doors and windows, in school all the children were talking about the vampire, I'm 60 now and I still remember like it was yesterday,
My neighbors friends and i experience a lot of UFOs sightings over the island and an encounter with a beautiful white ladie in the woods while horse riding, she was very tall and didn't want nothing to do with us, she took off on a silver round object that resembled a Roman shield, we chase after her but she was to fast and she was levitating on that shield..

@WhatLurksBeneath something worth mentioning is that even after the Naval Base Roosevelt Roads closed the Navy still operates in El Yunke. There are many areas off limit, and the Park Rangers are armed with shotguns, auto weapons and always in groups of three. Moreover when you travel in the interstate 53 from Humacao towards Fajardo you will notice a mountain which is part of El Yunque that is Perfectly square! If you get the coordinates and try to reach that flat plane you will be stop faster than the sunrise end! I tried it and NEVER again. I reach it about 500 yards near the fence, the personnel that stopped me were all military (Navy and Air Force Personnel). Counted 15 in total, they knew everything about me. My time in service, my military rank, my name address, my deployments. I was kept in place for four hours, until park ranger were called to pick me up. They were not rude nor hostile but they were certainly very tactical. Only one person talked to me, he sharp, fit but skinny with a 04 rank! He asked me “you got lost right Hernandez?” Then he basically let me know very calmly he know everything about my military career as a SF soldier. I told him “hey I’m here bcs I love the woods, I like to be alone. We had a long conversation. But nothing about aliens, laws or things of that sort. We talked about deployments and he knew what I did during those deployments. It was fun

Surprised to find out this episode mentioned my hometown, Canovanas PR. and the neighborhood was Campo Rico. I know who is Madeline and Tolentino family. This creature run havoc around the area back then. Not only Madeline saw it, my pastor Eliezer Rivera had his experience also one night when driving at nite on one of out local roads. Everyone was talking that this creature escaped the underground lab at el Yunque National Forest. People disappear pretty often in that rain forest.Don’t suck my Freaking Chuscabraaa!!!

Oh heck yeah I'd definitely be happy to hear about more sightings of El Chupacabra in the future. My fiance is of Puerto Rican decent with his mom's side of the family living there so we're always down to learn more about Puerto Rico in general especially if it's about cryptids.

As a fellow Puerto Rican I'm really glad you clarified that it was never depicted as a dog. I grew up hearing family and friends talking about it and even seeing drawings of the alleged chupacabra and not once did it ever look like a dog. So you can imagine my frustration when people claimed to see one and the description was just that of a mange infested dog. Also get tired of the chupacabra being associated with Mexico when that was never even remotely close to the origin of the first sightings.
