In todays video of Federico Talks Watches I talk about the watches that I really used to hate but have really grown on me over time. The Breitling Aerospace, Grand Seiko Snowflake and Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor. I really disliked these but now, I kinda like them!

I used to hate watches that seemed boring and over-minimalistic to me, like Oyster Perpetual or most of Grand Seikos. Now these are the only ones I consider buying :)

Every Rolex with a Cyclops, but especially the gold Day Date. When I was young, I was like, "Old man watch! I don't need a magnifier to see the date!!" Now I'm only in my early 40s, and I still don't NEED the magnifier, but the design finally grew on me. Tastes matured?

Hey Fed. Cool video as usual. For me, it was Rolex Milgauss Polar. I had one when everyone hated it and I flipped it. Just got it back into the collection and very happy with this quirky piece from Rolex.

In my early days of watch collecting I thought anything with a cyclops magnifier was gaudy and horrible. Now that I am old enough to not have close up vision, I love them!

Seiko Monster. Found it disgusting but I like the rough look now. Still would only do the snow or aqua dial tho.

Hey Fed I actually didn't like the JLC reverso when I first saw it and tried it on (it felt too small because I tried the medium size). But 5 years later I'm looking to buy one.


Question: should purchase the JLC Reverso Classic Large small second or shell out the additional 2k for the Large Duoface? I love the idea of being able to switch face, but not sure if it's worth 2K.

Never used to like minimalist watches but over the years I've really began to like for a dress watch the minimalist aesthetic. Big fan of the orient bambino with the bauhaus design and the Junghans Max Bill quartz

Explorer II Polar 40mm, hated for long, just recently loved

Fed I love the deep sea I have, but now that I've seen the blue face one, I feel like the black is outdated and I can't seem to get it out of my mind even though I know it's only because it's new and people are wearing it. What options do I have? And what would be your advise? Upgrade or keep the black face?

Generally I don't like Rolex from a design perspective but the explorer 1 has grown on me.

I use to dislike all Rolex except the 2 tone bluesy. Almost 20 years later, I like most of them. Tastes change and evolve the longer you’re in this hobby.

I used to hate the nautic-ski by LIP because of the compressor case and the big markers. now I love it it has real depth the inner ruler is very nice and the blue is the perfect shade plus the dimension are perfect. it became my everyday watch

I own a JLC Master Compressor Geographic... I agree I had no interest until I tried it on. The pictures never do it justice imo.
