Grado Labs Statement Series Platinum 1 Review

How did I miss this review? I have one of these that replaced a Grado Green which I was enjoying, but I wanted to try the Statement series. It is a fantastic cartridge. I am thinking about getting the next step up, the Sonata - they have a new version 2 out now.

I have a Duel 1219 turntable to put it on but the styles and needle need is missing. I have exact Grado but I found it used.

Hi there I didn't found much about the grado reference platinum 2 so I watched this video about the 1
Shape is some different and I bought the 2 at MM
I also had the sumiko blue point special evo iii at high output mc
I love the grado at first I had a hum problem with my rega planar 3-24 but I packed my motor with Mu metal and it is quit now.
Bass and mids are very nice heights too but little top off.
Next cardridge will be grado again. Never going back to the sumiko, lag on bass was the minus point.

Are the mounting screws direct through the body without nuts on the bottom? Thanks!

This cartridge blows my mind on my Marantz 6100 with my Marantz 2226b. Try some Doobie Brothers like Listen to the Music or China Grove.

It's too bad we couldn't hear the Grado play any records but they do make great

Grado Labs is the biggest nickel & dime brand in existence. If something falls on the floor and gets crap on it, they'll just wipe it off and still package it as new. In Canada, Grado's using a guy out of his own measly house where inventory is stored in a humid basement ! If you buy anything Grado in Canada, big chance you're gonna get something previously used or repaired !

Just wait until you hear the Dynavector 20x2, along with the cheaper 10x5.
